Nave: Entering Cardiphonia

The Voice of Cardiphonia….

Cardiphonia  exists to glorify God through the intersection of faith and music with the community of Christ – catholic in time and space. Cardiphonia is the web presence of the worship/arts ministry of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis, Indiana.

We are most interested in being a resource that is from the Church, by the Church, and to the Church.  In these pages you will find links, articles, art, music, and theological writings that seek to support worshipping communities in proclaiming the whole counsel of God in worship and life.

The Name and the Design...

Cardiphonia, or The Utterance of the Heart in the Course of a real Correspondence, is taken from the title of a collection of personal letters written by John Newton to friends and returned to him that they might be published.   John Newton is an inspiration to us because of the role he played as a nurturer of faith both as a pastor and hymnodist, a model we believe should exist in many of our churches leaders…that one holy significant means to educate and edify the people of God is through the worship of God.

The website design is based on the layout of the historic Westminster Abbey  in London, England.  The design work was translated by Ray Mills for the web.

This Website was made possible through a Worship Renewal Grant from the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship, Grand Rapids, Michigan, with funds provided by Lilly Endowment Inc.
